If your kids are fans of the reality show Tanked or Pawn Stars visiting the shop they see on TV will be a big hit. Downtown Container Park is another fun, unique experience.
1. High Roller Observation Wheel
Though Las Vegas has a reputation as an adult playground, it’s also packed with family-friendly activities. Take in the lights and sights from a bird’s-eye view aboard the High Roller observation wheel at The LINQ. From here, you can see the spouting fountains that dance to music at the Bellagio and bold, iconic hotels like the golden Mandalay Bay and Paris’s black pyramid.
The indoor Adventuredome amusement park at Circus Circus Hotel & Casino offers five acres of rides, arcade and carnival games and more. Kids ages 5 and older will love the circus shows, with skilled trapeze acts, aerial dancing and funny clowns.
The Popovich Comedy Pet Theater showcases talented rescued animals that balance, jump and entertain during this popular show. Families can also check out the animals at the onsite zoo, or get an adrenaline rush at Vegas Indoor Skydiving. A basic “Learn to Fly” package includes training and time in the wind tunnel.
2. Cowabunga Bay Water Park
Located in Henderson, this water park (formerly Wet ‘n’ Wild Las Vegas) is an excellent way to cool down during hot days. It offers tubular slides a wave pool, body waterslides, a lazy river and separate kids play areas. You can even rent VIP cabanas with a private pool and deluxe furniture during certain events like Neon Nights, when the park is lit up in neon colors.
Travelers say their kids loved exploring Omega Mart, an immersive art installation by Meow Wolf. Inside this “Supermarket of the Future,” every door leads to a new realm of fantasy and adventure. 3. Madame Tussauds
The Vegas Strip may have a reputation for adult-centric shows and casinos, but the city offers plenty of kid-friendly activities and attractions. 4. The Las Vegas Natural History Museum
While many people think of Las Vegas as a 21-plus destination, this entertainment mecca has plenty to offer families. The Las Vegas Natural History Museum is a Smithsonian Affiliate, with exhibits on everything from dinosaurs to Nevada wildlife.
The kids will go wild for the Prehistoric Gallery, where they can marvel at a T-Rex skeleton and Triceratops skull. But this is not a one-trick pony; the museum also features exhibits on marine life and wild Nevada animals.
At the Shark Reef Aquarium, your kids’ jaws will drop when they see a 3,000-gallon tank filled with real sharks and stingrays. They’ll also love the Touch Pool, where they can feel a gentle stingray glide over their hand.
